Bee D’Vine Honey Wine Update | Season 12

Most of the wine in America is made with grapes, but Ayele Solomon makes wine the way it’s done in Ethiopia, where he was born. His wine is made using just two simple ingredients; honey and spring water. Will he get a sweet deal on Shark Tank Season 12? Find out in our Bee D’Vine update!

  • Business: Honey based wine

Ayele brought his Bee D’Vine Honey Wine to Shark Tank Season 12 Episode 5 and introduced the sharks to the world of honey-based wines. He shared four of his wines with the sharks, who all agreed that it was really good.

Premium Dry Honey Wine
Bee D'Vine Honey Wine - BRUT 750ML

The world standard for premium dry honey wine. Crisp, dry, and complex but with no bitter tannins. Those who enjoy drier cocktails or cider, pilsner style beers, and a variety of grape wine will appreciate versatile Brut.

Further, Bee D’Vine has an initiative that helps save the bees, which all the sharks applauded.

However, the honey stopped flowing when Ayele shared that he only had $400,000 in sales over the past six years.

In the past 12 months, Bee D’Vine wine has sold $115,000 in the product — so it looks like things are buzzing in the right direction.

This was enough to interest all the sharks, except Kevin O’Leary, who is already in the wine space.

Ayele shared that the average bottle sells for $39-$49, while only costing $5 to manufacture. The sharks suggested that the company create a cheaper wine, around the $15 range.

Following that advice, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, and Daniel Lubetzsky offered Ayele a $750,000 investment, for 40% equity in Bee D’Vine Honey Wine, which he accepted.

We have great news to share in our Bee D’Vine update! The company is still in business with an estimated net worth of $1.2 million.

Bottles range from around $50-$350, available on the Bee D’Vine website. They even offer a membership, which comes with some great perks like free shipping and several gift items when you sign up!
