Nice Pipes Apparel Update | Shark Tank Season 8

Lisa Binderow entered the Shark Tank in Season 8 wearing her Nice Pipes Apparel. She hoped to land a deal with the sharks for $100,000 in exchange for 10% equity. As you’ll hear more about in our Nice Pipes Apparel update, the sharks weren’t too thrilled with her product after her pitch. She left without a deal.

Nice Pipes Update

  • Entrepreneur: Lisa Binderow
  • Business: Leg and arm warmers for working out
  • Ask: $100,000 for 10% equity
  • Result: No Deal
  • Shark: None

Lisa came into the Shark Tank with a product she created to solve one of her own problems. After finding sweaters to be too itchy for her taste, she decided to make leg and arm warmers using the same material as yoga pants. She later went on to create her own leg and arm warmers of different colors and styles. She claims these are the “hottest new thing” in the activewear market.

According to Lisa, Nice Pipes Apparel was available online and in 14 different stores. So far, the company had done $80,000 in sales, to which Kevin O’Leary couldn’t help but comment. After Lisa revealed that she’d invested $300,000 of her own money into the business, Kevin commented that she didn’t have a proprietary product. To him, it felt more like a hobby than something that could go big.

The sharks were disappointed with the sales and valuation, causing Kevin and Robert Herjavec to go out. Next, Mark Cuban went out, but not before giving her some friendly advice. According to him, she should focus on increasing her sales numbers. Then, Lori Greiner offered some words of encouragement before going out as well.

The last shark left, Barbara Corcoran, saw something special in Lisa and offered her $100,000 for 40%. However, her deal was contingent on a partnership with Grace and Lace, one of her other successful Shark Tank endeavors. Unfortunately for Lisa, Barbara was unwilling to negotiate on her high equity offer. After countering with 25%, Barbara declined and Lisa left the tank without a deal.

Now for our Nice Pipes update. It appears that the company has since folded. Unfortunately, none of the company’s social media pages have been updated since 2018. Although the website is still up, it doesn’t seem that the company is still actively trying to expand.
