These non-GMO cookies are also perfect for those on a diet. Further, the cookies are made without tree nuts, dairy, or eggs, and are completely gluten-free.

As Nancy Kalish tells the sharks, she actually used to be a health journalist, interviewing tons of health professionals over the years.

Eventually, she decided to leave journalism, and further use the knowledge she’d acquired to create Rule Breaker Snacks.

Unfortunately, to create guilt-free and non-GMO cookies, brownies, and blondies, Nancy has to take on over $2 million in debt.

At the time of the Rule Breaker Snacks Shark Tank pitch, the company had $1.3 million in sales, with $500,000 of that coming in the last 12 months.

Further, Nancy shared that she has put $1.7 million of her own money into Rule Breaker Snacks.

However, despite strong sales numbers, the company won’t be cash-flow positive until it hits $1.7 million in sales, according to Nancy.

Nancy also shared that she managed to get her cookies into retail stores and sold 70,000 units in Walmart in the last 12 months.

One cookie currently retails between $1.99-$2.99 and Nancy sells it to the grocery store for $1.05. It only costs $0.53 to make a cookie, but as Mark pointed out, she will have to sell a lot of cookies in order to be profitable.

Daymond John shared that he didn’t love the taste of the cookie and dropped out.

Lori Greiner said that she liked the cookie, but didn’t think she’d get her money back if she invested and dropped out.

Mark Cuban felt the business already had too much debt and dropped out.

Barbara Corcoran and Kevin O’Leary didn’t think it would be a good investment for them and dropped out.

With all the sharks out, Nancy Kalish and Rule Breaker Snacks left the tank without a deal.
